A&Z #550 – Atlas and Michael Jenkins vs The 24″ and 12lb Big Richie Pizza Challenge at Rico’s Pizzeria in Gulf Gate, Sarasota, Florida!! Hey everybody!! Last weekend, I visited the Tampa, Florida area and attempted three different food challenges. For the first one, I went to Rico’s Pizzeria in Gulf Gate, Sarasota, Florida and met up with my friend Michael Jenkins. We teamed up and attempted their 24″ and 12lb Big Richie Pizza Challenge. Big thanks to my friend Barry for coming and helping me film our challenge!! It was exciting to become the first team to finally win!!

Rico’s Pizzeria’s 12lb 24″ Big Richie Pizza Challenge ($60):

The base of the challenge pizza consists of 6 pounds of pizza dough, cheese (Roma blend), and sauce. That is all topped with 6 lbs of toppings and you must choose at least 3 different options. You can choose more if you want, but the toppings will weigh 6 lbs total. If you order 3 toppings, there will be 2 lbs of each one. If you order 6 toppings, there will be 1 lb of each option. There is a 45 minute time limit to finish everything. Winners receive the pizza free, sweet t-shirts, a team photo on the Wall of Fame, and $150 cash!! The challenge is only available at the Gulf Gate location at 6547 Gateway Avenue in Sarasota, Florida 34231. (Each location is individually owned.)

Learn to make Yummy Veg Kheema Masala – Easy To Make Vegetarian Maincourse Recipe By Ruchi Bharani

One of the most popular vegetarian main-course dishes is veg kheema masala. It is nothing but minced vegetables cooked with onions, tomatoes and ginger garlic paste. Check out Chef Ruchi Bharani’s take on this popular kheema recipe.

Ingredients:

3 medium onions, finely chopped
1/2 capsicum finely chopped
1 carrot steamed and finely chopped
100g French beans steamed and finely chopped
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
1 1/2 cup tomato puree
3 tbsp cheese
100g grated paneer
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
coriander leaves
salt to taste
1/2 tsp coriander and cumin seed powder

Method:

– In a pan, heat ghee. Add the onions and saute them well until they are brown in colour.
– Add the ginger and garlic paste.
– Add the finely chopped capsicum, frozen green peas and chopped green chillies,
– Add the tomato puree and let it cook for at least 2 minutes.
– Add the finely chopped tomatoes and let them cook until they are absolutely mushy.
– Add the red chilli powder, coriander and cumin seed powder, garam masala and salt to taste.
– Add little water and saute the ingredients well.
– Add the chopped, steamed vegetables – French beans and carrots.
– Add the grated paneer (cottage cheese) and then grate some cheese over it. Mix all the ingredients well.
– Sprinkle some coriander leaves over the kheema masala and add little water. Mix well.
– The kheema masala is ready to be served. Garnish it with some grated cheese and coriander leaves. Also squeeze some lime over it.

Cheesy Veg Sandwich Recipe !!

INGREDIENTS-

Bread Slices- 5-6
Cheese slice (you can also use Grated cheese)

Potato- 2 tbsp (boiled & mashed)
Chopped Onions- 2 tbsp
Chopped Capsicum- 2 tbsp
Chopped Tomato- 2 tbsp
Chopped Green Chillies- 1-2
Chopped Green Coriander

Salt to taste
Black pepper powder- 1\4 tbsp
Ghee\butter- to cook sandwich

• ጨው እና ቆንዶ በርበሬ

» INGREDIENTS «
• 1 large diced onion
• 1 tablespoon minced garlic
• 1 tablespoon grated ginger
• 1 teaspoon turmeric
• ¼ head of cabbage cut into small chunks
• 2 medium sized potatoes peeled and cut into cubes
• 2 medium sized carrots peeled and cut into rounds
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1 vegetable cube
• 2 jalapeno pepper seeded and cut length wise for garnish
• 1 teaspoon Nech Azmud/ Nech Kimeme (Ajowan)
• A few bay leaves
• Salt & pepper to taste

» DIRECTIONS «
1. Heat the oil in a large pot over high heat. Sauté the onion until translucent, about 10 minutes.
2. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir for a minute or two until fragrant.
3. Stir in the turmeric, carrots and cook for a few minutes. Then add the cabbage, Nech Kimem (Ajowan), potatoes, vegetable cube, and the bay leaf, desired amount of water. Cover, increase heat to high -medium, and bring to boil about 20 to 30 minutes. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Then garnish with jalapeno pepper and take off heat.
4. Serve with Injer, any flat bread or any grain of your choice.
