How To Cook A Muscovy Duck The Easy & Simplest Way

The easiest way to cook a Muscovy duck…

After cooking over 75+ ducks the past 6 months I’ve perfected the easiest way to cook a duck, you can use any spice you would normally use for chicken, beef, or pork that is up to you, but the process is so simple.

Roasting a duck the secret is cooking it at 325°F and don’t over cook it, a 5.8lb Muscovy duck takes 3 hours 40 minutes and not a minute longer.

When roasting the duck you need to make sure the duck is sitting at least 2 inches from the bottom of the pan to make sure it gets lots of air moment around the duck and that it isn’t sitting in its rendered fat.

The last hour to 40 minutes of the cooking time flip the duck over so the breast is sitting facing up to get the skin crispy.

It is best to thaw the duck completely overnight so when you apply your spice to it in the morning it sticks to the skin, I put my duck in the oven between 6 am to 10 am in the morning set the timer on the oven so it’s done just in time for supper at the end of the day.

This is the easiest and tastiest meal I have in my house and still after 75+ ducks the past 6 months I look forward to supper and don’t like to share it.

How to cook Duck – Jalepeno Poppers

Ingredients
Half Pound Cream Cheese – 2 TSP Cayenne – 2 TSP Paprika – 2 TSP Garlic Powder – Whole Jalepeno (1 pepper will do 3 breasts) – Italian Dressing – Bacon
Directions
Beat out breast a little to make flat.
Marinate duck breast in Italian dressing for at least 2 hours.
Mix cayenne, paprika, garlic powder and cream cheese.
Slice Jalepeno into 3 long slices.
Once duck is marinated, on one end of Breast add Cream cheese mixture, and a Jalepeno slice.
Roll up, wrap in bacon, use toothpicks to hold everything together.
Preheat oven to 375.
Plac on a pan to catch grease and cook for 50 minutes. ENJOY AND THANKS FOR SUBSCRIBING!
