Amazing decorate dessert art

A piece of cake can look a bit lonely on a plate all by itself. Dressing up the plate with a little garnish or a little sauce can go a long way in making a plain chocolate cake look like something very special – perfect for a romantic dinner, a dinner party or just when you want to do something nice for yourself.
Adding a few fresh berries or a small dollop of whipped cream is the easiest way to add to the presentation. A sprig of mint looks nice on chocolate desserts and ice creams. But these are simple garnishes, and to really make an impact, you’ll want to add a swirl of sauce or a splash of coulis to the plate. Chocolate sauce and a fruit coulis (smooth puree) add a little extra flavor to each bite of your dessert, and you can be a lot more playful with them than you can be with a sprig of mint.
You’ll want a small pastry bottle – a plastic bottle with a small tip – or a small pastry bag to do your decorating with. Transfer a thin sauce to the bottle – storebought caramel sauce, chocolate sauce and vanilla sauce will work well, as will any thin fruit puree or creme anglaise – and squeeze a design of spirals or swirls onto the plate before adding your dessert. For an even more impressive effect, pipe a flat area of one color of sauce. Use another sauce to pipe straight lines through the blank palate created by sauce number one, then drag a toothpick through both sauces at a right angle to the lines you just drew. The result is pictured above and is a beautiful canvas on which to plate the perfect dessert

Serves 12

INGREDIENTS

500 grams chocolate sandwich cookies
100 grams melted butter
300 grams cream cheese

Optional:
50 grams melted white chocolate
Sprinkles to decorate

PREPARATION

1. Blend the cookies until they are crumbs, and combine ⅔ of them with melted butter. Save the other ⅓.

2. Divide the cookie and butter mixture between the muffin tin holes, and press up against the side to make a shallow cup. Freeze for ten minutes.

3. Mix the rest of the cookie crumbs with the cream cheese to make the filling.

4. Remove the cups from the tray, and top with the cream cheese filling. Top with white melted chocolate and sprinkles (optional).

5. Enjoy!

Chocolate Mug Cake:
❥ 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
❥ 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
❥ 1/4 tsp. baking powder
❥ 2 tbsp. white sugar
❥ 1/8 tsp. salt
❥ 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp. milk
❥ 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
❥ 1 tbsp. hazelnut chocolate spread

1. Whisk together all the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
2. Pour in all wet ingredients and whisk until there are no clumps.
3. In a microwave safe mug, pour all your batter. Make sure that there is space so your batter doesn’t overflow!!
4. Add your tablespoon of nutella to the middle of your mug.
5. Bake in the microwave for 70 seconds!

Vanilla Mug Cakes (makes 2 mugs):
❥ 6 tbsp. flour
❥ 1/4 cup sugar
❥ 2 tsp. baking soda
❥ a pinch of salt
❥ 2 tbsp. melted butter
❥ an egg
❥ 2 tbsp. milk
❥ 1 tsp. vanilla extract
❥ sprinkles!!

1. Whisk the room temperature melted butter and egg.
2. Add the milk, vanilla, and sugar.
3. Mix in the flour and salt and whisk until there are no clumps.
4. Divide the batter between 2 mugs.
5. Bake in the microwave oven for 50 seconds each!

Vanilla buttercream frosting:
❥ 1 stick of butter
❥ 1 cup of powdered sugar
❥ 3 tbsp. milk
❥ 2 tsp. vanilla extract
❥ pinch of salt
❥ 3 drops of red food coloring! (optional)

1. Flufferize (what) your butter until you get the texture to your liking.
2. Add all the other ingredients!

Quick and Easy French Toast Roll Ups || Easy Desserts Recipes Cooking Videos

Here’s what you need:
Sliced white bread
2 eggs
Splash of milk
Cream cheese
Blueberries
Raspberries
Strawberries
Cinnamon
Sugar
Maple syrup

Method:
1) Cut the crust off the slice of white bread and flatten with your fingers.
2) Spread a generous amount of cream cheese over the bread, then add the fruit toppings at the bottom.
3) Roll up tight.
4) Dip in beaten egg (with a splash of milk if you want!).
5) Fry in butter until golden brown.
6) Mix together caster sugar and cinnamon, then coat the fried toast in it.
6) Drizzle over maple syrup and enjoy! Perfect for mother’s day breakfast.

4 Easy 3-Ingredient Desserts

Peanut Butter S’mores Dip
Serves 4-6

INGREDIENTS
1 pound mini peanut butter cups
1 pound large marshmallows
15-20 graham crackers

PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C.
2. Place the peanut butter cups in an even layer on the bottom of a large skillet or nonstick pan.
3. Place the marshmallows in a single layer on top.
4. Bake for 20 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown.
5. Serve with graham crackers for dipping!

Cookies & Cream Truffles
Serves 6-8

INGREDIENTS
36 chocolate sandwich cookies
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
12 ounces white chocolate, melted

PREPARATION
1. In a food processor, finely crush the cookies, reserving about 2 tablespoons of the mixture for sprinkling on top of the truffles.
2. In a large bowl, combine cookie crumbs and cream cheese, stirring until evenly mixed.
3. Chill the mixture for about an hour or until the mixture can be rolled into a ball and hold its shape.
4. Roll ping pong–sized balls with the mixture.
5. Dip the truffles in the melted white chocolate and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
6. Sprinkle some of the cookie crumbs on top of the chocolate-coated truffle before the chocolate hardens.
7. Repeat with the rest of the truffles, reheating the chocolate if necessary.
8. Serve!

Palmier Cookies
Serves 4-6

INGREDIENTS
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 cup cane sugar
½ stick melted butter

PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 425°F/220°C.
2. Brush the melted butter evenly over the puff pastry.
3. Sprinkle half the sugar on the pastry, then spread it around evenly.
4. Using a rolling pin, roll the pastry into a rectangle, pressing the sugar into the pastry.
5. Flip the pastry, then repeat the process, brushing with butter and rolling in the rest of the sugar.
6. Starting from the shorter edges, roll them tightly towards the middle.
7. Wrap in cling film and chill for about 30 minutes.
8. Remove the cling film and push one of the rolls directly on top of the other.
9. Trim off the uneven ends of the pastry, then slice 1-centimeter cookie rounds. They should look like smushed hearts.
10. Place the slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper about 2 inches apart to allow for expansion.
11. Bake for 15 minutes, flipping them halfway, until the sugar is caramelized and the cookies are golden brown.
12. Cool, then serve!

Triple Decker Brownies
Serves 4-6

INGREDIENTS
1 16-ounce tube cookie dough
16 chocolate sandwich cookies
½ box brownie mix, prepared according to package instructions

PREPARATION
13. Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C.
14. Press the cookie dough in an even layer on the bottom of a 9×9 square baking pan.
15. Place the 16 cookies evenly on top of the cookie dough.
16. Pour the brownie batter on top, spreading it evenly over the cookies.
17. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted inside comes out clean.
18. Cool, slice, then serve!
